As we headed to Beaufort we could see a definite change in the weather approaching.

Shrimp boats are very common up and down the coastal areas.

Grass for miles and miles, but from time to time, very nice homes.

Any time the ground elevation is above about 5 feet, homes appear.

This area had 8 foot tide changes, which require elaborate docks for long distances.

Yes, Condos appear from time to time also.

The main dock the marina in Beaufort....all 780 feet of it....a real hike to the facilities. View from the water end to shore.

Floating docks, common where tides are present. Here smaller boats have individual rubber floats they drive up on to stay out of the salt water.

This is the view from the Marina Store and Facilities out over the tidal area and marina. A long look.

The marina offices from the road side. It was in a residential area.
